As of Jan. 1: Vaccinations no longer federally funded
Also newly regulated: Starting January 1, 2023, vaccinations will no longer be reimbursed from federal funds. Instead, 93 percent of them will be financed from the liquidity reserve of the health fund and seven percent from private health insurers.
Similarly, half of the funding for vaccination centers and mobile vaccination teams operated by the states will no longer be provided from federal funds. However, the states are free to continue financing vaccination centers and mobile vaccination teams from their own budgets. Only half of the costs of dismantling vaccination centers and mobile vaccination teams will still be covered by the federal government.
