Lawyer without empathy: ChatGPT does it better

Lawyer without empathy: ChatGPT does it better

Today I am writing about an experience I recently had to make. For family reasons, we needed a lawyer, although we already had a planned appointment somewhere else, but since we were advised by an organization that helps people to look for a lawyer nearby, since all lawyers have passed their state exams, it wouldn't make any difference, would it?

Squid Game - a philosophical reflection

Squid Game - a philosophical reflection

The 2nd season of the Korean series Squid Game was recently released on Netflix, and in another blog post I already explained my problems and mistrust with the Launch of series on Netflix and Co expressed. So I've only just watched the series Squid Game, worried that there might not be a second season. The series itself is really good, without spoilers, good characters and actors, a story that you can follow and actors who control the whole thing in the background.

But in this post I don't want to talk about the series as a cinematic dramaturgy, which is undoubtedly great and where Hollywood could take a cue from, this post is about an analysis and philosophical reflection. Continue reading →

The Internet is dying - but not in the way you'd expect

Do you know it? You have a problem and search for it on the Internet and find an article or a forum thread where exactly this one problem is discussed. I found a thread from 2004 that dealt with exactly the question I had. That got me thinking. Continue reading →

Farmers' protests in Germany? This is currently happening in Berlin and other places. Many people have been very dissatisfied with politics as a result of the two-year traffic light government. The majority of the population is calling for new elections, the government, consisting of the parties SPD, Greens and FDP, together only reach 32% Support. The majority of people have turned away.

And now the farmers' protests in Germany could create what would be necessary to force new elections, a general strike, if all people, starting with the farmers, stop working. This article is about the farmers' protests of December 2023. Continue reading →

Telephone etiquette - Why doesn't anyone call back?

Telephone etiquette - Why doesn't anyone call back?

Is phone etiquette changing in our society? This article is not really related to a big topic this time, but rather to a social behavior that I have noticed has changed in people.

In the past, about 10-15 years ago, it still felt normal that if you called someone and didn't reach them, the person you called would get back to you later. Continue reading →

Digital Services Act (DSA): a step towards the introduction of an EU Ministry of Truth

The EU has passed two laws, the so-called Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Market Act (DMA), to combat fake news and disinformation and provide more consumer protection. These laws allow major platforms such as Google and Facebook to be monitored more closely and delete dangerous content. However, they also give the EU Commission more control over the media and the exchange of information on the Internet.
